Aramacca Capital: Strategic Investment and Sustainable Growth in Suriname

Saramacca Capital is committed to long-term strategic alliances and investments within the banking sector of the Republic of Suriname. Our approach integrates sustainability into every aspect of investment decision-making, coupled with active ownership and transparent reporting practices. Through our expertise, we empower our partners to optimize business operations, conduct accurate valuations, make strategic investments, divest non-core assets, and secure funding via both traditional and innovative financial solutions.

The origins of Saramacca Capital are deeply rooted in the district of Saramacca, an area historically recognized as the prime agricultural region of Suriname. Since the mid-19th century, plantations established by German, French, and Dutch settlers—bearing names such as Frankfort, Hamburg, Bethune, Uitkijk, and Calcutta—produced world-class sugarcane and cocoa for export. Today, the district continues to honor its rich heritage and natural legacy, with the Coppename Nature Reserve, a UNESCO-protected green area spanning 12,000 hectares, serving as a testament to Saramacca’s enduring commitment to environmental stewardship.
